Buying From Hard To Find Records
How do I order?
Orders can be placed on our website. Simply use the menu or quick search facility to find the products you require and click ‘Add To Basket’. Once you are happy click your shopping cart in the top right and follow the on screen instructions.
Ordering via our website is secure and protected using secure SSL encryption. Your banking information is passed straight on to our payment gateway and is not stored by us at any time.
If you’re having issues ordering online, please call us on 0121 236 3685 (Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm).
Can I order over the phone?
For customer security and confidentiality, we do not accept payment over the phone. Our online site offers quick and easy payment options including PayPal and all major credit and debit cards.
How can I pay?
We accept PayPal and all major credit and debit cards.

How can I track my order?
Once you order, we will send you a confirmation email. This will include your order number for your reference.
Your tracking number will be sent to you within a dispatch email once your order has been packed. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam / junk folder. If you are still unable to locate this email please email sales@htfr.com or call us on 0121 236 3685 (Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm).
Is my delivery insured?
Yes. In the unlikely event that your order is lost or damaged during shipping, Hard To Find Records automatically insures every order for the full replacement cost of the item.
How is my order packed?
The Hard To Find Records despatch team inspect every item before it leaves us. All shipments are shipped in sturdy, tested, environmentally friendly packaging.
Do you ship worldwide?
Hard To Find Records ship nearly anywhere in the world. Shipping times vary according to your location. We do our best to offer competitive international shipping rates.
Will there be customs charges?
If your order is being delivered outside the UK you may be eligible for customs charges. The buyer is responsible for customs fees and failure to pay these fees may result in you not receiving your package. Please liaise with your local customs for more information on local fees.
Selling To Hard To Find Records
Do you buy record collections?
Yes we do. We have been buying and selling record collections since 1991. Simply send an email to buying@htfr.com with a list of your records along with your asking price and full contact details. If we wish to purchase your collection, we will make a formal offer via email. Please note that we do not give valuations or offers by telephone.
What is my vinyl worth?
We are interested in purchasing record collections of all sizes and genres. The price we pay is calculated upon the condition and overall content quality of your collection.
To maximise the amount we will pay for your collection, please ensure that it is as presentable as possible (i.e. ensure that records are in their correct sleeves, all price labels have been removed and the vinyl is in good clean condition).
IMPORTANT: We do not purchase any counterfeit or bootleg discs.
I have a lot of vinyl to sell, do you collect?
In most cases, we will travel locally to buy collections of around 2,000 units, anywhere in the UK for collections over 3000 units and anywhere in the World for collections over 10,000 units.
We will always make you an offer and promise to take care of everything for you, even if that means us having to unload 10,000 records from your loft or down 10 flights of stairs.
Can you provide a valuation for my records?
You are welcome to visit us in Birmingham, UK to have your collection valued. However, this is by appointment only and must be pre-arranged otherwise we may not be able to accommodate you.
Appointments are only available Monday to Friday 10am to 4.30pm. To arrange an appointment please contact buying@htfr.com
How will I be paid?
We can pay for your collection via a Hard To Find Records company cheque, PayPal or bank transfer.
What about overstocks, bankrupt stock or closed record stores?
We are interested in buying surplus or overstocks from any radio DJ, reviewer, shop, distributor, record label or record company from anywhere in the world, simply email buying@htfr.com
